Gala on Derby Eve: Reservations Open!

Your “place to be on Derby Eve” is back for its 15th year:  The Gala on Derby Eve.

The benefit gala brings together 200-plus guests in Richmond each year to celebrate Kentucky’s Derby tradition while raising funds for Hospice Care Plus.reservation web button

This year’s Gala on Derby Eve is Friday, May 4 at 7 p.m. Registration is now open and is available online or by phone to our special event staff at 859-302-2688.

After two seasons at an outdoor location, the Gala will return indoors this year to the elegant Keen Johnson Ballroom on the EKU campus.

The Gala begins at 7:00 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, then continues with dinner, live music with the Bent Penny Band, dancing, and both live and silent auctions.

The live auction will include three, overnight accommodation options.

As always, guests will also enjoy complimentary valet parking and a photo booth for preserving Gala memories.

The silent auction is always a hit at the Gala.

The silent auction is always a hit at the Gala.

The Gala on Derby Eve is organized each year by a committee of Madison County residents whose original goal was to donate proceeds to a local non-profit. Hospice Care Plus was selected and has been the recipient each year. Proceeds from the event were pivotal to the fundraising campaign to build the Compassionate Care Center.

Many thanks to our sponsors and the Gala on Derby Eve Committee.
