Urgent Need: Help for Patient Comfort

Donate today to support the HVAC replacement project for patient comfort.

Can you help meet an urgent need for comfort?

If you have ever visited our Compassionate Care Center, you know it offers a comfortable, peaceful environment for patients and families at a challenging time.

The HVAC Replacement Project campaign for patient comfort is much closer to its goal of $78,000. As of late June, friends and supporters have raised just over $48,000.

Our Center gives comfort in many ways: 24-hour pain and symptom management, pet therapy, no visitor restrictions, large rooms that allow for privacy, a serene setting featuring rolling pastureland, wind chimes and birdsong heard through the French doors in each room, and team care that places intense focus on dignity, respect, and compassion.

Behind the scenes, a zoned HVAC system plays a key role, too. It allows patients and families to control the temperature in their rooms to give the warmth their loved ones need, regardless of the temperature in the rest of the facility. It helps make the Center a place that provides the warmth and comforts of home, when care away from home is needed.

The two HVAC units that comprise that room-controlled zoning system are in urgent need of replacement. The replacement cost for the units and patient room zoning system is $78,000.

We are asking our friends and supporters for assistance with this special need.

Please consider donating to the fund we’ve created to allow donors to designate their gift to the HVAC replacement project. If you wish, you can make your gift a memorial tribute to your loved one. Thanks to a generous donors, we have already raised $48,000.

When you support a project like this, you help us continue our commitment to patient-centered, mission-based, compassionate, expert care – all without regard for insurance status or ability to pay. As a non-profit, independent, community-based organization, community support is vital. In return, we provide care that is truly patient and family centered while also caring for our community through free grief support, traumatic loss response, advance care planning education, and a palliative care program that supports patients and families when hospice is not yet needed.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact us at 859-986-1500 or hospice@hospicecp.org. We would be happy to speak with you about the project.
