Volunteers Honored for Years of Service

At our annual volunteer appreciation dinner on Tuesday, April 23, we were proud to honor the dedicated volunteers who choose to dedicate their time and skills to help Hospice Care Plus serve those with serious illness and their families.

Numbers alone can’t show the value of the time and skills our volunteers bring to our mission, let alone the desire to bring peace, comfort, and hope to patients and families. However, it is impressive to note that they collectively donated 4,267 hours of service, which is the equivalent of donating $122,694.23 as a group.

It is tradition at our volunteer appreciation dinners to recognize years of service in 5-year increments. This year, we were pleased to honor four volunteers for 5 years of dedicated service: Jerry Derringer, Nancy Justice, Barbara Rupard, and Valerie Stevens.
